Lubricants consisting of the right additives are a vital part in the performance and durability of equipment.

ACPA is a leader in lubricant additives technology and offers branded lubricant additives from reputable global lubricant additives companies so that we have a robust product portfolio supported by innovative chemistries and technical support.

ACPA supplies a wide selection range of advanced lubricant package additives, viscosity modifiers (VMs) or viscosity index improvers (VIIs) and other components such as TBN boosters, Pour Point Depressants (PPD), anti-foaming agents from reputable global lubricant additives companies for use in formulating and manufacturing high performance automotive engine, driveline, Off-road, industrial (Hydraulic, turbine, compressor…etc.) and marine lubes to cover lube’s demanding industrial challenges.

For many years, R & D department at ACPA has owned and operated its advanced technology of manufacturing and developing multifunctional lubricant additives with high quality to meet global standards like API, ACEA, JASO, ATIEL, DIN, SAE, ISO…etc., and other OEM,s specifications.

Engine Oil Additives

The main purpose of an engine oil is to lubricate and cool the components in an engine. When an engine burns fuel it degrades the oil within the engine. Therefore, for an engine to perform optimally, a good balance between the components that are added is necessary. The oil is used to reduce the friction, heat, and wear between mechanical components that are in contact with each other.

We formulate and manufacture range of engine oil package additives under our registered brand ACPA EOAP® such as ACPA EOAP® 600, 650, 670,…etc. covering the high tier market as well as the lower tier market for diesel, gasoline and CNG vehicles.

Heavy Duty Diesel Oils (HDDO)

ACPA EOAP 600 is designed for diesel and gasoline engine oil to fulfill API performance levels ranging from CB/SB, CC/SC, CD to CF/SF.

ACPA EOAP 670 is designed as versatile cascade additive package and provides core API requirements from API SJ/CG-4 through API SL/CH-4/CI-4.

Passenger Car Motor Oils (PCMO)

ACPA EOAP 650 is versatile additive package, i.e. excellent balance between gasoline and diesel requirements with one additive package to fulfill API performance levels ranging from SG/ CD to SL/ CF/CF-4.

CNG Engine Oils

ACPA EOAP 620 is designed as low ash, robust additive package for all stationary natural gas engines and CNG vehicles requiring low ash oils (˂0.5%).

Viscosity Modifiers

Viscosity modifiers reduce the dependency of a lubricant’s viscosity to change in temperature variation. Viscosity modifiers are used in many different applications, among which automotive engine oils.

ACPA has advanced technology of VII dissolving unit to produce viscosity index improver additives in liquid form with wide range of viscosities by dissolving different types and forms of polymers in high quality mineral oils (Group I, II, III) to enable the lubes manufacturers to produce crankcase multigrade engine oils according to SAE J300 standards, with keeping the balanced and excellent properties of shear stability and low temperature properties.

Pour Point Depressants

The pour point of an oil is approximately the lowest temperature at which an oil will remain fluid.  Wax crystals that form in paraffinic mineral oils crystallize (become solid) at low temperatures.  The solid crystals form a lattice network that inhibits the remaining liquid oil from flowing.

The additives in this group reduce the size of the wax crystals in the oil and their interaction with each other, allowing the oil to continue to flow at low temperatures.

Anti-Foaming Agents

The chemicals in this additive group possess low interfacial tension, which weakens the oil bubble wall and allows the foam bubbles to burst more readily.  They have an indirect effect on oxidation by reducing the amount of air-oil contact.

There are different types of anti-foaming additives such as oil-insoluble silicone (polysiloxane type) that are dispersed finely in the lubricating oil and completely oil-soluble silicon free (polyacrylate type).  Very low concentrations are usually required.  If too much anti-foaming additive is added, it can have a reverse effect and promote further foaming and air entrainment.

Metal Working Fluid Additives

ACPA’s cost effective innovative multifunctional additives for Metalworking Fluids (MWF).

ACPA manufactures the broadest and most advanced range of multifunctional additives for metalworking fluids (MWF). Our sound knowledge and specialized technologies which are able to meet a broad spectrum of metal protection and metal processing needs. ACPA’s additives for metalworking fluids are manufactured in the state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities with stringent quality standards therefore ensure consistency in every batch and excellent performance in shop floor conditions. Metal working additives and emulsifiers are used for formulating fluids which are used for cutting, dipping, spraying flushing, brushing, drilling and so on.

ACPA,s multifunctional additives for metalworking fluids are widely used to formulate water soluble and neat cutting oils for metal working processes. During metal processing these fluids form an effective barrier between metal surfaces and contaminants (such as air, water and other corrosion-producing materials) hence protect metal and finally increase the operating efficiency and reliability of the equipment.

ACPA,s multifunctional additives for metal processing fluids offer exceptional performance hence extend the life of machine and tools. Lubricant additives maximize productivity on the real-life situation. Additives furnish cooling and lubricating properties to metal working fluids and cutting oils thus protect tools and machine parts from heat and friction.

ACPA’s additives for metalworking fluids and packages are available for formulating

  • Water soluble cutting oils
  • Neat cutting oils
  • full synthetic metalworking fluids
  • Semi synthetic metalworking fluids

Above all packages and additives are developed to offer the best emulsification, corrosion inhibition, and supplemental lubricity to the finished fluids.
